Classic (Regular) Facial
A classic facial is the standard facial most people mean when they search for a “regular facial”. It keeps healthy skin clean, clear and hydrated, with no devices and no downtime. A classic facial typically includes:
- Cleanse: removes makeup, oil and surface dirt.
- Exfoliate: lifts dead skin cells so skin looks brighter and absorbs products better.
- Extractions: clears blackheads and congested pores by hand.
- Mask: chosen for your skin type (hydrating, clarifying or calming).
- Moisturiser and SPF: finishes the facial and protects your skin when you leave.
The classic facial suits you if your skin is generally healthy and you want regular maintenance rather than to fix a specific problem.
Custom Facial
A custom facial is built after we’ve looked at your skin, not chosen from a fixed menu. At the start of the appointment we check:
- Skin type: oily, dry, combination or sensitive.
- Main concern: breakouts, dehydration, dullness, uneven tone or redness.
- Current routine and medications: retinoids and acne medications change how strong an exfoliant your skin can take.
We then choose the exfoliation strength, whether extractions are needed, the mask and the serums for that day. If your skin changes with the seasons or your cycle, the next custom facial changes with it.
Facials vs Medical-Grade Device Facials
A classic or custom facial is done by hand. HydraFacial and OxyGeneo use dedicated devices: HydraFacial uses vortex suction to extract pores, and OxyGeneo uses a capsule and gel that trigger oxygenation alongside radiofrequency. Device facials cost more, but they reach congestion and texture that hands-on facials can’t. Many clients alternate between the two.
