What is KeraLase & LLLT Treatment?
At Skinology Laser, we address hair loss and thinning through two complementary treatments: KeraLase (LaseMD Ultra combined with a growth factor serum) and Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT). Together, these create a comprehensive, non-surgical hair restoration protocol targeting follicle stimulation, scalp health, and growth cycle support, with no downtime and no systemic medications.
Treats These Concerns
How It Works
KeraLase uses the LaseMD Ultra laser to create thousands of microchannels in the scalp, through which a biomimetic growth factor serum is infused directly into the follicle environment. This dramatically increases the bioavailability of growth factors at the follicle level compared to topical application alone. Low Level Laser Therapy uses specific wavelengths of low-power red and near-infrared light to stimulate cellular activity in hair follicles, increase blood flow to the scalp, extend the growth phase of the hair cycle, and reduce the miniaturisation of follicles associated with pattern hair loss. LLLT is typically used as an ongoing maintenance treatment between KeraLase sessions.
Benefits
- Stimulated hair follicle activity and an extended growth cycle
- Reduced hair shedding and visible thinning
- Improved scalp circulation and follicle environment
- Thicker, denser hair appearance with a consistent treatment programme
- No surgery, no systemic medications, no downtime
- Combines well with Microneedling with Exosomes for an enhanced protocol
Who Is a Good Candidate?
KeraLase and LLLT suit patients in the early-to-moderate stages of hair loss or thinning, whether from genetic pattern hair loss, hormonal changes, stress, or diffuse thinning. Earlier treatment relative to onset produces better outcomes. They are not appropriate for patients with active scalp infections or certain blood-thinning medications without clearance.
Results — What to Expect
Most patients see reduced shedding within 4–8 weeks. Visible improvement in hair density typically appears at 3–6 months with consistent treatment. A combined protocol involving KeraLase sessions and regular LLLT maintenance is recommended for the best sustained outcome.
